A client asked this question at our Q&A last Wednesday, and Iโ€™m going to share my top tips with you all.

Enjoy the special things you only get once a year, but donโ€™t go overboard. Portion control is key so you donโ€™t feel restricted. Enjoy those things but donโ€™t overdo it.

โญ๏ธ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜‡๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ป โญ๏ธ 

If youโ€™re doing a supper meal, during the rest of your day, try to get more protein in so that you have a good chance of hitting your protein goal. And for the meal, load up on some lean protein also! 

โญ๏ธ ๐—›๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—” ๐—ฃ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป โญ๏ธ 

Plan the rest of your day around that outing! So if youโ€™re going for supper, plan the rest of your day out using these strategies. 

โญ๏ธ ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐—บ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด! โญ๏ธ 

If youโ€™re stressing that there wonโ€™t be a salad you can enjoy, offer to bring something. Donโ€™t be afraid to ask if one is on the menu ahead of time. A sneaky way to do this is just ask why is on the menu as you want to bring something that will compliment the meal. 

๐ŸŒŸ ๐——๐—ผ๐—ปโ€™๐˜ ๐—š๐—ผ ๐—ฆ๐—ง๐—”๐—ฅ๐—ฉ๐—œ๐—ก๐—š ๐ŸŒŸ 

Bad idea. Itโ€™s like going to the grocery store hungry and coming home with a cart full of bad choices because your hunger and cravings told you it was a good idea.  Eat something before you go (prioritize protein).

โญ๏ธ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—”๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฆ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ฟ โญ๏ธ 

The more you sit there, the more you will pick away at what there and everything adds up quickly!  So limit your exposure ๐Ÿ˜‚ and sit somewhere else.

This pandemic has really limited our contact with our family and friends. So take the time to make it about the connections with people more than making it about what youโ€™re going to get to eat. Be present โค
