YOU’VE SEEN SOME PROGRESS BUT YOU CAN’T SEEM TO GET RID OF THAT LAST BIT OF FAT

Sep 15, 2021 | Blog

The devil on your shoulder says ‘It would be so much easier to head for the CAKE AND TREATS.’

You think ‘Why bother trying anymore, I was just meant to be this way.’

You start to accept that.

When In Reality:

You’ve been in a calories deficit for awhile and so your progress has slowed. You NEED to stay consistent, have patience and play the long game. Look how far you’ve come, Don’t quit.

A smaller body burns fewer calories so you’re going to need to adjust your intake. In other words, lower your calories eaten. This is why we start as high as possible,so you’re eating as much as you can, while seeing results.  Please never start a diet at 1200 cal or even worse – less. That gives you no room to adjust.

Calorie deficit = less energy = less NEAT (non exercise activity thermogenesis). NEAT is the calories you burn from day to day activity, pretty much everything except sleeping, eating and intentional exercise.  Your body moves less to conserve energy. You fidget less etc.

Also calorie deficit = less energy = possibly less effort put into your workouts = less results.

You might have plateaued, but that doesn’t mean you will never make more progress.

And it definitely doesn’t mean that you need to accept it as the way it is.

To summarize:

⭐️ Stay the course

⭐️ Be patient

⭐️ Keep going

⭐️ Look how far you’ve come, you are so much closer to your goal than you were on day 1
